TNI is a not-for-profit education society promoted by NIIT. One of TNI’s missions is to positively impact the underprivileged of the country through its educational process. Out of the 145 million available workforce in India, shockingly only 8% are employable. As part of its charter, the Affirmative Action group of TNI is focusing on enhancing employability in the youth residing in urban slums and other semi-rural areas. To this end, TNI is setting up Community Learning Centre in the Delhi NCR region to train the slum youth in communication skills, computer skills and customer service so they can gain fruitful employment in industries such as Retail

The positions are as follows

Job Position: NGO connect

Roles and Responsibilities:

To evaluate NGOs and slum communities suitable for a center

Coordinate the paperwork (MOUs, Lease agreements) with NGOs and landlords.

To search and evaluate locations for NIIT Yuva Star Career Development Centers according to the parameters provided by TNI

Coordination with vendors for procurement of required epuipment for center set-up.

Requirements:

An inclination to work with the underprivileged

Must be graduate and comfortable with using MS word and excel.

Must be mobile and willing to visit our dispersed centers in the slums.

Must be willing to take on problem solving tasks for each center that may be outside the scope of responsibilities.

Good communication skills and willingness to be out in the field

Good negotiation skills

Location: head office in Kalkaji

Job Position: Faculty (soft skill)

Roles and Responsibility:

Conduct classes as per schedule and methodology

Minimizing Student Dropout

Helping with Student Enrollment

Counseling Students as and when required to enable their placement in jobs

Maintaining Student Data and Reporting

Job Requirement

Graduate with excellent communication skills

Strong motivation to work in the social sector

3-4 years work experience or 1-2 years of experience in training

Job Position: Center Head

Roles and Responsibilities

Student Enrollment for 100% capacity utilization of the center

Student Placement – preparing students for interviews, counseling students if required, training students in areas they need to improve to ensure 100% placement (Centralized placement cell will schedule interviews)

Monitoring faculty and student performance

Liaising with the local NGO and the community to maintain positive energies towards the CDCs

Making the CDC a fun place by taking the necessary initiatives

Taking care of library/reading room activities and teaching/training when required

·Overall day-to-day management of the centre

Collating and maintaining all centre data, including CLC budget and expenditures to ensure that the CLCs function within projected budget and allocated resources

Requirement:

Graduate or post graduate with excellent interpersonal skills

5-6 years of experience in any professional stream

Demonstrated comfort with responsibility

Strong motivation to work in the social sector

Organized and Structured in thought and action

Lots of initiative and a never give up attitude

Location: Delhi-NCR (where the CDC is located)

Job Position: Industry Connect

Roles and Responsibilities:

Identifying Companies that have job openings for our students profiles

Schedule interviews with the companies and coordinate with Center Heads and Students for successful interviewing

Counsel students in jobs for retention when required

Meet placement targets

Provide inputs for improved student placement

Requirement:

Graduate with excellent communication skills

Good knowledge of organized industry in India

Mobile (will require travelling within Delhi-NCR)

3-4 years work experience, at least some of which is in student placement cell

Extrovert and Organized
